Thick amber color with rich fluffy head. 100% grapefruit in the smell. Strong bitterness to nicely match the grapefuit aroma. Well balanced and not soapy nor drying. Well developed and very easy to drink for a Double IPA. Ansset13 (127), Wilmington, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 6, 2007 The pour is mildly hazy and light burnt umber in hue. Decent head that slowly recedes. The nose is citrus, hops and a touch of sweetness, that is almost floral. The taste is refined but some what ligher that the nose would have you expect. A little weak on the hops considering this is a double hopped IPA. All and all a decent brew, but there are many on the market around the same price I would try again before this one. kidmartinek (981), austin, Texas, USA

Be careful! An excellent medium/large foam head, a sweet citrus/hop floral aroma. ...And on the palate, aboveaverage sweetness, with very little hint of alcohol. Almost too easy to enjoy. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 2, 2007 22 oz bottle. Poured a slightly hazy medium orange color. Head was two fingers high, off white, and reduced to a thin film after about 2-3 minutes. The aroma was malt dominated with plenty of caramel and a hint of soy, but there was also a good amount of resiny/flowery hops. Slight sweetnees was tempered by moderate hop bitterness of about 6 out of 10. The alcohol flavor was tangible with a warming effect. Bready malt flavor was overpowered by resiny hops. Pretty good IIPA. hellbilly (1532), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 31, 2007 pours a hazy orange honey color with a thin whitish head. aromas of caramel/brown sugar, citrus hops and breakfast cereal like grains. super malty flavor with orange and dry? hops. more malt than hops...crisp hoppy finish with a lingering honey aftertaste. creamy mouth feel bordering sticky/cloying. 9.2% is unnoticed. jrob21 (1268), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 27, 2007 This one is new to the ATL and am i glad to have a chance to have this one. Great grapefruit, citrus, and pine aromas. Flavor of green apples, bitter grapefruit, and slight hoppy metallic experience. Very smooth for a double and not a sugary sweet bomb. Liking this one. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 20, 2007 The beer pours a clear honey yellow with a modest bright white creamy head that lingers more than most, as it fades away; the lacing provides an occluding curtain upon the glass. Nose has a rich malt sweetness, the hops pine like, hints of lime, clean and fresh to the olfactory sense, start has a decent malt presence; the hops counteract the sweetness with the top medium in its feel. Finish has a brisk acidity, the hops spicy and refreshing, aftertaste taste is dry and pleasant, a nice treat for the palate. wamoore84 (20), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Oct 18, 2007 Updated: Oct 27, 2007Powerful IPA. Taste is citrusy, hops present, but overall, I feel this beer is very smooth (especially considering the alcohol content). Color is copper. VERY hoppy aroma. Everyone of my friends that I’ve had try this have been equally as impressed (and most of them aren’t "beer" drinkers). A must have, or at least try, for anyone who likes IPA’s.
