Commercial Description:
Hoppy? Brother, 471 redefines hoppy. 471 is a small batch, limited edition ale that was created by our Brewmaster to separate the weak from the strong. 471 is a double IPA, that combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils and Torrified Wheat malts, with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. It has a big sweet mouthfeel, followed by more hoppiness than you've ever had at one time. Enjoy. (Available at Breckenridge Pubs and Restaurants and bottled as 471 Small Batch Double Hopped IPA.)

Draft at Barcade. Lots of good tropical fruit and grapefruit in the aroma. The taste is similar, very citrusy with a grapefruit finish. Good stuff.

Wow. Powerful and massive IIPA here. At first scent I thought I was gonna be disapointed. But I took a big gulp and was blown away by powerful flavors or citrus grapefuit and then a bitter hopiness that wouldnt go away long after swallowing. One of the best I’ve ever had.

Tap at Barcade’s 3rd Anniversary Party: Pours a nice glowing copper/orange with a thin consistent head. This stuff is intensely aromatic, filled with loads of tropical fruits. It’s so natural and mango-like that it almost seems like mango-citrus juice. There’s also a subtle hint of squash as it warms. Great hop depth. The body is thick, mildly carbonated and chewy. The hop flavors are a full- tropical fruit, citrus scale. Lots of blood orange, with a slightly sticky, but never cloying malt back. The finish is resiny and grapefruit like. This stuff has an ideal amount of bittering hops to balance out the sticky body. Great hop depth, fruity, and highly drinkable at 9.2% ABV. Good stuff.

amber with an off white short lived head. floral and slightly caramel and malt aromas. Overall a rather mellow double IPA which hides the alcohol nicely. Pretty nice hop malt balance, but nothing to unique produced in the flavor. Very smooth being the uniqueness of this beer.

bottle - Pours copper with a medium sized lingering head. It has a great citrus hops aroma. The flavor is big on the hops as expected and has enough malt to hold up to it fairly well. Medium bodied and strong, it’s not the best double IPA I’ve had, but it’s enjoyable. Admittedly I’m a big fan of the style.

One of the best IPAs I’ve had in a while. Perfect balance. Aroma was pretty strong. I could smell hops when I first popped the cap. Pour was a nice murky orange with a thin white ring for a head. The aroma was big and grassy hops. Taste was a sweet/bitter battle in the mouth. Caramel malt and hops are going in and out and leave an alcohol burn in the back of the throat along with hop bite. Very nice.

Tap @ Crescent Moon Alehouse in Omaha: Clear gold with an off-white head & sticky lacing. The aroma is pleasant, sweet, and hoppy with notes of cranberries, juniper and shades of mint. The alcohol definitely showed itself strong along with other hoppy characteristics and some green tea. The feel is nice leaving a slight alcohol burn in the throat. Enjoyable!
