Flavor is of sweet malts, pine resins and a bit of grapefuits. Very smooth beer, hard to tell its an DIPA. Awesome beer! jarspag (600), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2007 On draft at the Denver airport... was quite enjoyable, but was missing a few pieces. A bit too resiny on the finish and the choice of hop combination doesn’t seem to be working in harmony - rather friendly but annoying. ElGaucho56 (393), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 15, 2007 pours a delicious shade of orange with a quickly diminishing foamy head, leaving a ringlet of miniscule bubbles and paltry lacing. Nose is predominantly of citrus hops, with some grassy notes and a malty underbite. Hops rather predominant thoroughout the mouthfeel, well attenuated and clean, again citrus, particularly lemon with a licorice bitterness that quickly swells and dominates the flavor (in a good way). Walks a fine line, but comes out on top, although some residual malt sweetness would help mellow things out, just a bit. Alcohol is astonishingly well hidden for 9..2, but that’s mostly the hops’ doing. SSSteve (2104), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 12, 2007 Pours a slightly hazy gold with a medium lacy head on top. Aroma is pure evergreen, no citric note IMO. Flavor is massively hoppy, unbalanced, lots of tacky wood resin notes. Malt almost undetectable, sweetness is pummeled by the excessive hop spice. Alcohol note very present towards the end. Unbalanced, but to a hop-head, who cares? NachlamSie (1653), Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 10, 2007 Bottle pours a cloudy bright orange with a small white head. Aroma = grapefruit. There’s a bit of other citrus and a little caramel, but it’s basically grapefruit. The flavor is assertive and certainly bitter, but a little one dimensional for the style. Grapefruit up front with a bit caramel to balance. A hint of chalk comes through, but nothing to subtract from the overall drinkability. This is a well balanced, tasty beer but lacks the complexity some other s in the style have to offer. I’d drink it again. sipnor (3), Kansas, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 8, 2007 Flavor is great color look very nice can’t tell much from the aroma. This is a very nice IPA to get started with. MoDog (927), Griffith, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 7, 2007 Poured from a 22oz bottle into a shaker. This double IPA poured a light amber/orange color with a very faint haze and a big, beige head that quickly faded. Some good, chunky lacing was left behind. The aroma was made up of notes of grapefruit, pine, and a mild caramel malt backbone. The flavor was very grassy and wheaty, with an upfront maltiness, followed by a quick bitter finish. Not exactly the hop bomb I was expecting. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with minimal carbonation. My overvall imperssion was that this was very drinkable, but with the abundance of good IPA’s and double IPA’s available, I would pass on this one.
