| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 31, 2007 A very nice IPA. It was a little more balanced than most American IPA’s I have had. It had a great supporting malt backbone to balance it out a little. It could use a little more hop nose, but I may have been slightly masked by the malt. radiomgb (2068), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 31, 2007 Orange-amber in colour, long lasting off-white coloured head, good lacing. The aroma is actually quite malty, high sugary sweetness, some citrus hop bite. The flavour is very hoppy, floral, light citrus, lots of caramel malt, good sweetness, chewy. Highly bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes long, very bitter with some alcohol coming through at the very end. This is a very bitter IPA, not bad but no balance whatsoever.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 29, 2007 Light amber color with a quickly fading head. Aroma is heavy with grapefruit-piney hops - smells like a sizable dose of simcoe. Taste is sweet and piney with lots of grapefruit and grass. Sweet caramel malts and a nice tingly feel makes this one tasty, but not as well balanced as the best DIPAs. Pretty good overall, but could be improved upon. mybrainhurts (214), North Dakota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 29, 2007 Big spicy herbal hop aroma, followed by a light malty sweetness. Sharp spicy and bitter hop, faint toffee, and mild sticky caramel for flavor. Bold and flavorful. I am pleasantly suprised and commend Breck for stepping out with the "small batch" series. I’d like to see this in regular rotation! bdigital (591), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 29, 2007 Clear orange color with medium-sized white head. Decent lacing retention. Big pineapple aroma with some floral and piney hop accents. Some other citrus notes apparent. Big hoppy flavor with both some sweet and citrus touches to it. Good brew. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 28, 2007 Drank on May 4, 2007. The aroma was a moderate hoppy with the smell of pine and oranges. The head was large and creamy, white in color with excellent lacing and mostly lasting. The body was cloudy and orange in color. The initial flavor was a light to moderate bitter with the finish the same. The duration was average. The body was light to medium. The texture was a little watery and creamy and the carbonation was lively. Beerlando (2351), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 28, 2007 Rated 7/27/07. Bomber at Freakin Frog in Las Vegas, NV. Orange-amber body with a small white head. Whispy lacing creeps its way down the glass. The aroma is a beautiful symphony of strong citrus and pine hops with caramel and toffee malts. The flavor is big-time hoppy, with citrus (predominantly orange) and pine as the stars of the show. Still, there is ample sweet caramel and toffee malt to balance everything out. Medium bodied with an almost creamy finish. This is a really big DIPA. Not the biggest I’ve had, and not the best, but very well crafted and near the upper echelon of the genre. walter (359), Staunton, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Draft at the brewery (10 oz). Bright pale gold with white head. Big hoppy nose of grapefruit and pine. Flavor is all hops and more hops. Delicious, and the 9% is really hidden, but I wished for a little more malt profile and creamy palate.
