Commercial Description:
Hoppy? Brother, 471 redefines hoppy. 471 is a small batch, limited edition ale that was created by our Brewmaster to separate the weak from the strong. 471 is a double IPA, that combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils and Torrified Wheat malts, with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. It has a big sweet mouthfeel, followed by more hoppiness than you've ever had at one time. Enjoy. (Available at Breckenridge Pubs and Restaurants and bottled as 471 Small Batch Double Hopped IPA.)

Bottled (thanks kenb!). Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is flowery and fruity hops. Flavour is grassy, fruity and slightly caramelly malty. A really pleasant Double IPA, which hides the alcohol really well (if it really is 9.2%!)

Very smooth Imperial IPA. Was expecting a traditional taste of Fuggles hops (NOT my favorite at all!), but was very surprised in the combonation of the PNW hops and Simcoe with the Fuggles. Actually very nice. Even more, for an imperial this is wonderful in sweet malt backbone mixed extremely well with these hops. The bitterness is still somewhat lacking in my opinion, but the intensity of the upfront flavors is muted as well, which makes this IIPA a well rounded, complex beer. Very Good

A great beer. A heavy hop aroma that is complimented with wheat malts and some bitterness. The fruggle and centennial hops make this beer. A heavy orange body full with a hoppy flavor.

Bomber pours out deep clear gold with one inch off white head. The aroma has a pine hop and big earthy component to go along with an undercurrent of malty sweetness. The taste begins with sweet slightly roasted malts and a wide load of earthiness. Then the pine hop bitterness intercedes. These several flavor notes mingle for a while as the finish of the beer taste approaches. Near the finish the pine hop bitterness takes control of the flavor and struts its way into the after taste. This beer has an above average viscous mouth feel that goes well with the style. Lots of lacing was left clinging to my tall Stone IPA tulip glass.

Cloudy amber w/ frothy finger of pale tan foam. Big, hoppy (grapefruit) aroma w/ a solid malt foundation (caramel, toffee) & notes of vanilla. Sticky, juicy feel. Surprisingly sweet, malty flavour w/ a juicy hop bitterness.

Bottled. Clear golden, small head. Aroma of lychee and grapefruit with a whiff of smoke. Medium bodied and very hop aromtic. Completely domianted by the hops. These are supported by rounded maltiness offering some vanilla to the ho salad. The finish is bitter, but not to the levels you’d expect after the aroma. Compex? No. Tasty? H*ll yes!"

(Bottled) Hazy amber with almost no head. Exotic-fruity aroma with mild acidity and aromatic hops. An enormous fruit-bomb with dryish flavor, alcohol hints and a long, bitter aftertaste. Medium-bodied, low-carbonated. Nice and enjoyable, but not the most balanced or complex. In small doses.

The best beer I ever found at an airport bar (not that that’s a big hurdle). (The airport was Denver, of course.) A beautiful orange-gold color, with a nice, creamy head. Aroma of banana peppers and grapefruit. When you drink it, the hoppiness comes in surprisingly late -- the initial impression is a solid maltiness. But then the nice, fresh-tasting grapefruity hops come washing in, and it finishes with more of the grapefruit and banana pepper. Not a great IPA by any means, but above average, and it made my flgiht delay well worth it.
