Pours a slightly yeasty orange/red with little head. Aroma is somewhat muted, mostly on flowery hops and with some sweetish malt coming through. Flavor is more in line, with a nice, citrus and pine hop attack, followed by some cereally malt in the middle, and a good, bitter, acidic finish that lasts for a fair time. Palate is medium. doboy (206), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA

Poured a dark yellow with a nice, thick, lacy head. Aroma was a citrus hop and the mouth feel was thick. It made for an easy drinking beer as it coated your mouth. Nice hops taste, with a wonderful bittering hop on the backside. keepersj12 (824), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2009 Golden amber with a lacing head. Not much of an aroma from my pour. Flavor though was excellent. Very malty start with a big hop end. Finishes very dry with a good bit of an alcohol bite. pressboxjoe (76), , New Jersey, USA

Very sweet, balanced, very smooth, hops come on gradually and forcefully, but pleasantly. Fruity. Not bad. Finhead (102), Illinois, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 31, 2009 Cloudy orange appearance with a hoppy spice and citrus aroma. Lightly sweet initial flavor with a long hop finish. Plus a high ABV makes this a very good IPA. jbye4334 (719), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 13, 2009 Bottle. Yeasty bready aroma, pouring dark orange with a finger head. Wow. Lots going on in this beer. Such a mix of flavors its hard to nail any one. Some malt, hops bread, spice, pine.....the list goes on. Has a cloying sweetness on the back of the palate thats not very good. Some candied fruit flavors abound there too. Too much going on to call this very good...stop adding shit to the beer that doesnt belong, Mr. Brewer. obguthr (1078), Poquoson, Virginia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Jun 25, 2009 Caramel and orange aroma, slightly yeasty. Cloudy golden with medium yellow sticky head. Full stinging mouthfeel, resinous generic bitterness. Obvious high alcohol content. Bittersweet horehound, other hard candies, yeast, and rotten oranges. There’s a lot happening, but I wasn’t able to find enjoyment in much of it.
