Apr 3, 2009 I don’t like IPAs but if I had to choose one to drink for the rest of my life, it would be this one. A pleasant surprise from a regular IPA, I suppose.

Apr 2, 2009 pours golden and white head.
Aroma is hoppy with a sugary nose and caramel malts.
Taste, well hoppy and a good kick of the alcohol. Well balanced with the malt, light notes of fruits.
I really dig this style of beer and the DIPA that doesn’t come across too hoppy.

Apr 1, 2009 Thanks sebletitje for the share. Pours hazy red-gold with a white head. Nose is caramel, booze, sugar, floral and citrus hops, and malt. Flavor is malt, hops, booze, caramel, and a nice malty/ caramel finish. Interesting beer with medium body and barely noticeable alcohol. Good beer.

Mar 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours a golden orange body with a white head. Big hop character with pine, grapefruit and a bit spicy. Strong caramel malt backbone with a moderate etoh warming well masked by the bitter hops. Decent.

Mar 28, 2009 Almost oxidized aroma, with lots of honey. Smooth and sweet with the hops not really working. Decent and malty but not very impressive.

Mar 21, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a nice amber color with a decent head. You get pine immediately in the nose. Some malt is behind it, but fairly faint. Mild carbonation with a rich mouthfeel. The malt is very forward then the hops really kick in. There are notes of alcohol and a boozy fruit that I can’t quite place. The hops add a lingering bitterness in the finish. There is a lot more malt than I was expecting in this IIPA, and to be honest I would probably like a little less. Overall not a bad beer though.

Mar 20, 2009 botle at old chicago Pours a cloudy, orangish/brown in color. No head forms on the pour. Smell is hops, but there is a good amount of spice there as well. Can’t quite put a finger on what spice it is, but it’s definitely there. Taste is bittering hops. There is quite a lot of malts to support these hops. Some very floral tastes come through as well. A little thin on the mouthfeel
