Commercial Description:
Hoppy? Brother, 471 redefines hoppy. 471 is a small batch, limited edition ale that was created by our Brewmaster to separate the weak from the strong. 471 is a double IPA, that combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils and Torrified Wheat malts, with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. It has a big sweet mouthfeel, followed by more hoppiness than you've ever had at one time. Enjoy. (Available at Breckenridge Pubs and Restaurants and bottled as 471 Small Batch Double Hopped IPA.)

An orange beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with nice caramel notes combined with grapefruit, leading to a dry hop juice end.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of KAggie97. Slightly hazy deep golden with a yellowish head. Fat and oily hop aroma. Medium body with overripe fruits and plenty of piney aroma hops. Bitter finish with quite some alcohol. Solid. 260708

From bottle #11 at sk8vikings American blind tasting. Pours hazy orange with lacing white head. Hoppy orange fruity and light woody aroma. Sweet caramel flavour. Wooden and dry hoppy flavour on top. Ends dry hoppy and with a persisting slight sticky caramel sweet flavour.

Bottled. Clear golden, small head. Aroma of lychee and grapefruit with a whiff of smoke. Medium bodied and very hop aromtic. Completely domianted by the hops. These are supported by rounded maltiness offering some vanilla to the ho salad. The finish is bitter, but not to the levels you’d expect after the aroma. Compex? No. Tasty? H*ll yes!"

Bottled (thanks kenb!). Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is flowery and fruity hops. Flavour is grassy, fruity and slightly caramelly malty. A really pleasant Double IPA, which hides the alcohol really well (if it really is 9.2%!)

clear amber, big dirty white head, lots of lace, sweet grapefruit aroma, lots of bitter hop flavor, nice sweet carmel malt to balance, the bitter and sweet fight each other, eventually the warring sides settle down and arrive at a compramise of sweet carmel malt with a sapy pine edge and a long bitter finish

Aroma: 6/10; Appearance: 8/10; Flavor: 6/10; Palate: 5/10; Overall: 12/20

Hazy golden-amber colour. Fruity, earthy aroma with lots of fuggles. Fairly big hop flavour, albeit without a massive corresponding bitterness, with the earthiness of fuggles and foresty PNW varietals.
