Goodgrief (1018), Middletown, Delaware, USA Apr 24, 2008 On tap at Flying Saucer, San Antonio. Pour was gold/orange with ok head and lacing. The aroma was sweet caramel. The flavor had a caramel base and a lot of hops. This one had some hop complexity with citrus, pine and simcoe all in there, I think. Really hoppy...did I mention that?
Holdwine (827), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Aug 28, 2008 Nice snappy Double IPA with a kick. Very drinkable . Citrusy nose with the obvious fresh hops mixer. The tongue is wonderfully bitter. The plus is the sweet malt that keeps the hops pleasantly up front but not oppressive. Great beer. Homebrewerguy (247), Oil City, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 25, 2008 pours amber in color with minimum head and lacing, citrus hop aroma, flavor is mostly citrus hops overpowering any malt profile, alcohol is evident and is a great painkiller for the 55 and over softball players! mfaulke (66), clemson, South Carolina, USA Aug 24, 2008 The sweetness is apparent but pleasantly so. It rides this baby out to the very end, finally giving way to a hops bonanza. A very bitter very long finish ensues. This brew was the hop bomb that I was hoping it to be. A solid representation of the style. Great brew. jake65 (1238), Meridian, Idaho, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle: Clear copper pour with a thick off-white head. Heavy citrus and caramel in the nose. Taste... well, this mutha was hot! Heavy floral bitters. Light citrus. Overall a bit soapy, but very intense in the floral bitter dept. Thanks Matt. BuckeyeBoy (1129), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle pours out amber topped with a off white head. Aroma of malts and floral hops. Tast of tough grapefruit. Plenty bitterness on the top and end. Not bad. thanks Pinkzambia
