this is an interesting double IPA. the nose is somewhat bland with scents of grass, baking bread, and a little hoppy sweetness. pours a nice, hazy orange with no head. flavor is lacking some of the hop punch you would expect from a double. i get more malt and a sourness along with an unexpected bite on the backend. not all that complex and leaves a bit to be desired. with some work, this could be a good one.

Aug 21, 2008 poured from a 22oz bomber. citrus in the nose from the hops. smell and taste are more on the hoppu than malty side, but in decent balance. hazy light copper with decent lacing. when I taste this beer I get a slight burning sensation in my nose, like pool water chlorine. Overall a nice IPA, but I would prefer my Bell’s.

Aug 19, 2008 Draft sample at Breckenridge at the Ballpark, Denver, CO on 8/12/08. Pours orange with white head. Nose is pine, grapefruit, resiny sugary caramel. Taste is caramel and moderate bitter with pine and grapefruit hop flavors. Not bad.

Aug 19, 2008 Sweet for an IPA. Poured light amber with a medium cream head. Very palatable with a floral mid and finish. Definitely a brew worth going back to!

Aug 16, 2008 Clear, light amber color with a decent head that receded quickly. Aroma was very strong on the floral hops and had a slight hint of smoke. I thought the taste was way too strong with the floral flavor. I felt like I was drinking potpourri.

Aug 15, 2008 So, I picked this up as part of my random six pack, completely at random, and I am so glad I did! This pours a medium hazy orange with an offwhite head. The aroma is almost like sugary hops with some piney notes. The flavor follows obediently with initial notes of citrus and a sweet finish. Fantastic 1st impression from Breckenridge.
