troyc (1173), Lubbock, Texas, USA Oct 2, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a cloudy yellow color with a decent white head. Aroma is of wheat malt and biscuit. Not detecting much agave in the nose. Taste is a little more potent. Sour notes and light citrus hit your tongue first. Some grass and grain in the finish. In some ways it reminded me of a Berliner Weisse because of the sour wheat character of the beer. I just wish there were more robust wheat notes in here. Still a unique and somewhat refreshing brew. IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Sep 28, 2008 12 oz bottle from Supermaket Liquors, Cheyenne, WY; Nose of guava fruits, flowery hops, and wheaty grain; cloudy yellow-gold with a big, glass-lacing, off-white head; flavor is wheaty, with light agave in the background along with very mild hop bitterness; finish is lightly bitter. Good different wheat. ansermadide (496), Kyle, Texas, USA Sep 28, 2008 (12oz bottle from Whole Foods on September 28, 2008) First thing, before I get into the rating: INCREDIBLE 2-3 finger head. Bright white, huge, stiff and frothy, leaving splotchy patches of lacing. Nice, steady carbonation. Sweet smelling for a wheat ale, but not like the usual malty, sugary bit. Its flavor is almost nothing what I’d expect from a wheat, but the agave-wheat pairing (in my opinion) is a good combo. They compliment each other nicely, and it seems Breckenridge did their homework. We use agave at home instead of sugar, so I don’t know if I’m biased to the flavor, but this is very well done. The center-back of my tongue was a little active at first. The rest, very enjoyable. Clean and thin, but thick enough on the palate to give it points. I’d drink this any day. douglas88 (1557), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Sep 28, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange color with a small white head. The aroma is full of sweet malts, some honey, citrus and wheat. The flavor is pretty basic, but nice; lots of wheat and some honey, the agave is interesting, I guess it gives it a bit of coolness. The palate is pretty light and very fizzy. Thanks Richard. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 20, 2008 Bottle. Didn’t care for this at all. Poured a cloudy gold with a small head. Aroma of wheat. Flavor is putrid. Thin bitter finish. kyzr (1119), Belgrade, Montana, USA Sep 15, 2008 Dirty gold pour with white head. Wheaty sweety nose. Flavor is fruit juice sweet with some grain. Light body that keeps it to the sweet finish. ajm (903), Los Angeles, California, USA Sep 3, 2008 A solid wheat! Bottle from Cortez, CO. A nice level of cloudiness gives way to a full - not sharp and very smooth - wheat flavor with only mild lemon zest around the edges. Yeast is also surprisingly low-profile. dutch23mp (160), Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA Aug 31, 2008 a truly different taste not too bad the wheat flavor is predominate with the after taste of the agave stimulating the palate. Not something I would make a habit out of but interesting. 12 oz bottle
