Commercial Description:
This true American-style unfiltered wheat has something a little special – the nectar of the great Salmiana Agave. Agave complements the refreshingly light quality of our wheat and adds a subtle note of flavor that expands this beer’s uplifting taste profile. It is familiar, yet creative.

I had high hopes for this. It really has a bland flavor. I think the hops overwhelm the agave. It looks good, and is easy to drink, but so is Keystone. For those homebrewers out there, Austin HomeBrew supply has a Agave Wheat Kit that is waay better.

Wow, this was a swing and a miss! Smells like Budweiser, tastes like Busch Light. Truly, the aroma is very much that of a big-chain american lager, with the smell of rice filler rather than wheat (see Boulevard for wheat done right). Pours a hazy straw color with a bright white bubbly head. There’s a touch of sweetness in the flavor from the agave nectar that almost comes through like clover honey. Very simple texture, smooth finish with soft carbonation.

Bottle from The Foodery, 10th Street in Philadelphia. Wheat beer aroma, and yes, it does smell of agave. Flavor is watery, citrusy, and muddled. Guess it’s gimmicky.

This looks very nice in the glass very hazy yellow with a nice big fluffy white head and plenty of nice lace. Aroma is faint with some spicy notes and some banana. Flavor has some peach some odd herbal bitterness, the agave is faint but recognizable, overall it’s a little grainy.

Poured to a dep orange red with thin white head that lingers awhile and leaves okay lacing. Nose is slightly hopped and fruity, mouthfeel is slightly tingly and taste is sour apples. Leads to a finish that is slightly bitter and short. Not too much to this one.
