Surprising and interesting choice to see agave used with beer.
Agave is the primary ingredient in Tequila.
The beer pours golden with bright thin white head.
Aroma has plenty of wheat and refreshing agave juice. I got to try agave extracts a while back and the taste was well alive in the aroma.
Taste of wheat with sugary palate from the use of agave. Agave gives the beer a very interesting twist and approach.
Light bitter finish with an almost mead/honey like finish. aguyintx66 (78), Humble, Texas, USA

Is it odd to any of you that the Breckenridge brewery is not located in Breckenridge, but rather is in Denver? Anyway... This beer is a bit hazy on the pour and makes an off-white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is of fruit cake or sweet bread. Flavor is sweet fruity, but not any perceptible fruit. Perhaps the agave nectar is the flavor, but I don’t know. Curious that agave is basically a cactus that has the nectar pulled off and the carbohydrates turned into a sugar. A bit runnier than honey, but odd plant to chose to put in a wheat. I liked this beer. It was what I call "Good-Not-Great". arrogantb (700), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 18, 2009 Cloudy, yellow color served in a Breckenridge Agave Wheat pint glass at my favorite Mexican restaurant (La Cueva). The smell is wheaty and unsurprising but still good. The flavor is a nice wheat with the expected hint of cloves and banana and some earthiness to it. This was obviously very easy to drink and went well with enchiladas.
