Commercial Description:
This true American-style unfiltered wheat has something a little special – the nectar of the great Salmiana Agave. Agave complements the refreshingly light quality of our wheat and adds a subtle note of flavor that expands this beer’s uplifting taste profile. It is familiar, yet creative.

Opaque and buff in color with a frothy but quick head. Doughy wheat aroma with a hint of sour fruit. Thick in body but low in carbonation. Dull wheat flavor with a gritty finish. Has a mellow tangy note but not much else in the way of agave.

Really hazy light orange in color. Head is bright white and totally diminishing. Aroma of light lemon, biscuity malts and a bit of orange zest. Mildly sour flavor with a soft malt sweetness. Finish is heavy in the sour, wet grains department. Interesting with the agave nectar, but the end result is simply an average wheat.

Bottle from Siciliano’s, I can’t believe I haven’t rated this yet. Slightly hazy orange with small to medium white head. Aroma is dry wheat and slight funk (like sewage) but not too off-putting. Flavor is medium sweet wheat, slight citrus, grain, chalky, not too bad. Medium and creamy. Not bad and in fact one of the better beers from Breckenridge.

Bottled. Beer is cloudy medium warm yellow The head is small, white, frothy; quickly and mostly diminishing but lasting.
The aroma is malty with a light notes of toasted grain/wheat bread and cookie; Hoppy with moderate notes of lemon zest, light notes of herbal pine; Yeasty with a light note of dough; Trace note (could be suggested) of agave juice.
The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic/juicy dry, lightly bitter with a long, moderately bitter, lightly sweet finish. Some residual squeaky vegetation in the aftertaste.
The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively.

Bottle. Pours hazy corn gold, thin off white head. Aroma is malt and ketchup. Flavor is the same and slightly funky. Just enough tangy funk not to make this revolting.

Bottle. Pours a very hazy bright yellow with a small fluffy white that hangs around for a little while leaving a trace of lacing. Smell is pretty tame with some banana, clove and wheat sweetness. Also a bit on lemon in the aroma as well. Taste actually has a slightly tart lemon kick up front that gives way to a fairly nondescript grain backbone with some wheat in there. The finish has a redux of the slight tartness of the lemon. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation but not as clean or crisp as I expected. The drinkability on this is limited by the slight tartness that seems to pervade the taste and not in a good way. It’s a fair example of a wheat beer but I’ll pass on this.

(Bottle) Pours a cloudy yellow color with a decent white head. Aroma is of wheat malt and biscuit. Not detecting much agave in the nose. Taste is a little more potent. Sour notes and light citrus hit your tongue first. Some grass and grain in the finish. In some ways it reminded me of a Berliner Weisse because of the sour wheat character of the beer. I just wish there were more robust wheat notes in here. Still a unique and somewhat refreshing brew.
