Commercial Description:
This true American-style unfiltered wheat has something a little special – the nectar of the great Salmiana Agave. Agave complements the refreshingly light quality of our wheat and adds a subtle note of flavor that expands this beer’s uplifting taste profile. It is familiar, yet creative.

The Aroma is rancid mash tun. Flavor is not as bad but very bland. Bleh Pours cloudy tan with white head and not much agave flavor.

Draft. Pours golden with white head. Aroma is citrus and wheat. Flavor is wheat, lemon and malt. Pretty decent wheat beer. Could drink several glasses.

Poured to a dep orange red with thin white head that lingers awhile and leaves okay lacing. Nose is slightly hopped and fruity, mouthfeel is slightly tingly and taste is sour apples. Leads to a finish that is slightly bitter and short. Not too much to this one.

This beer is very clear. If this is wheat ale I am confused. There needs to be a bit more of a opaque to translucent appearance. The head fades away too fast. There is a bit of a sweet smell in the aroma, but I am unable to pinpoint what it actually is. I think the aroma is very weak and dull. Not creamy enough to be a wheat ale. There is a continuing sweet flavor throughout the beer. I think it is the agave juice or flavor that they have added to the beer. I think this is a valid approach towards a wheat ale, but they should have stuck more towards the traditional approach with their own nuances. The agave juice is not a bad idea, but I think the brewer needs to be a bit more cognizant towards what he is trying to approach. A fellow drinker said he thinks this beer is rather sour, and I could not agree more. Overall, a bad version of a wheat, but they tried. They tried to make this a wheat beer, but I think it is closer to a sweet lager.

THOUGHTS: Very disappointing. Not bad at all, but I was expecting a completely different tasting beer. It smelled nice, but just tasted like any wheat beer. As it warmed there was a little more lime and most likely agave. I think Tequiza was a better use of agave in a beer. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a hazy, dark golden yellow to light orange with a large, white head that mostly diminished and left barely fair lacing. The aroma was wheat, light doughy and cobweb-like yeast, sweet and acidic fruitiness that wasn’t quite lime, so I’m guessing it was the agave. The initial flavor was sweet and acidic; while the finish was rather sweet, lightly bitter and acidic with a short duration. There was wheat, citrus, lime, yeast and most likely agave. The light to medium body was a little syrupy with fizzy carbonation and a light astringent finish. Overall, there wasn’t much too the body.

(bottle): Pours a cloudy pale orange-yellow.body. Some white head but quickly gone. Sweet aroma, some hops, some hay? Some bitterness. Nutty taste, sweet. Almost a slick mouthfeel. Some fizziness. Almost a vegetably taste or something. Some fruit souness. Blah.

It wasn’t entirely undrinkable but it wasn’t very good either. Pours hazy yellow. Aroma of wheat and yeast. Taste is of wheat and some indescribable off taste ( I assume the agave). No need for me to every drink this again.
