Commercial Description:
This true American-style unfiltered wheat has something a little special – the nectar of the great Salmiana Agave. Agave complements the refreshingly light quality of our wheat and adds a subtle note of flavor that expands this beer’s uplifting taste profile. It is familiar, yet creative.

On-tap, served in a shaker glass. L: Unfiltered cloudy appearance, straw yellow in color with orange hues, fluffy white head that slowly settled into a thin sudsy skim, splotchy rings of lace follows the body down the glass, an attractive start for this wheat ale. S: Husky grains, toasted wheat and a light honey maple from the Salmiana Agave nectar, everything is framed by a citric lemony aroma. F&T: Malty moderate body, softly crisp, creamy feel in the mouth. Good wheat twang in the taste, provides a nice snap of toasted wheat to go with the lemony flavors. The agave nectar has more of a neutral sweetness than in the aroma, just a subtle sweet light colored honey taste. A delicate hop spiciness comes out in the end, adding to sprightly dry lemon honey, toasted grainy, bread yeasty finish. I thought this was a pretty enjoyable pale wheat ale, quite quaffable, I will have to pick up the bottle version sometime soon.

Cloudy, yellow color served in a Breckenridge Agave Wheat pint glass at my favorite Mexican restaurant (La Cueva). The smell is wheaty and unsurprising but still good. The flavor is a nice wheat with the expected hint of cloves and banana and some earthiness to it. This was obviously very easy to drink and went well with enchiladas. Cloudy, dirty gold with decent, white head / Vegetal nose of wheat, lemon & agave / Medium, moderately creamy body with some tartness and a touch of hot spice on the good finish / Flavors of wheat and lemon with a mild cactus note complimenting the wheat / An interesting combination which works, although a more forward agave presence would be desirable.

Sweet spicy nose. Cloudy burnt gold color. Sweet, but not intensely so....seemed pretty complex for a Wheat beer. Heavier bodied, but the carbonation cut through. Finished nicely. Wasn’t expecting much, but this is a pretty decent beer.

Pours your typical hazed tawny yellow color with a good lasting head and full lace. Fresh aromas of malted biscuits, banana, and vanilla cream with a touch of muted tartness. Full nectar with slippery residual effers that need some coaxing to come alive. Big and malty with enjoyable fruit flavors consisting of banana cream and citrus sprinkled with spice. Agave ? Not sure, I’ve never tasted it outside of Tequila. I can say there is a slight switch of something in the aroma and the flavor that is more vegetal than fruit. Overall: I really enjoyed this brew.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a hazy typically carbonated light yellow-orange colored body. The mild aroma was bready and dough. The crisp and clean mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes of bread dough and mild hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Well, it looks like my fellow Missourian, thegreenroster, felt differently about this beer than me. This was a pleasant surprise from this brewery. Pours hazy orange with a light off-white head. The aroma is fairly fruity and dry with some spice and a cactus aspect. The body is fairly crisp and medium bodied with clean spritzy carbonation. The taste starts with dry wheat, something I’m not used to (probably agave) and pepper. The finish brings out the cactus aspect from the aroma and hints of star fruit. This is significantly better than anticipated & a fine summer beer.

The bottle pours hazy apricot color with orange hued tan foam. Smells citrusy and grassy with slight alcohol notes. Sweet flavor, tastes like candied pineapple, with earthy citrus rind bitterness. Medium bodied with adequate carb. I think it’s a great summer session brew. And I really dig the dia de los muertos type label.
