The nose is wheat and light citrus hops. The taste is wheat, light citrus and very subtle agave in the finish. Medium body. Refreshing but not very interesting. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 2, 2008 Citrus flavor is there. Head is fluffy and light in color. Color is a hazy. I saw the Agave and thought tequila but wasn’t expecting that flavor and was happy with the wheat beer brewed with it. Worth trying. ansermadide (523), Kyle, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 28, 2008 (12oz bottle from Whole Foods on September 28, 2008) First thing, before I get into the rating: INCREDIBLE 2-3 finger head. Bright white, huge, stiff and frothy, leaving splotchy patches of lacing. Nice, steady carbonation. Sweet smelling for a wheat ale, but not like the usual malty, sugary bit. Its flavor is almost nothing what I’d expect from a wheat, but the agave-wheat pairing (in my opinion) is a good combo. They compliment each other nicely, and it seems Breckenridge did their homework. We use agave at home instead of sugar, so I don’t know if I’m biased to the flavor, but this is very well done. The center-back of my tongue was a little active at first. The rest, very enjoyable. Clean and thin, but thick enough on the palate to give it points. I’d drink this any day. kiefdog (1637), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 15, 2008 Bottle shared by B-ill, so I can thank him for now knowing what agave tastes like. The beer pours an unufiltered-looking golden color with a thin and soapy white head that dissipates quickly. Wheat and agave in the nose. Light-bodied with a citrusy character and wheat and spice in the background. The finish is clean and fruity with a sweet honey aftertaste. I would probably have this over tequila but that is not saying a lot. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA

There’s a slightly sweet fruitiness to the beer that I"m going to assume comes from the agave. I can see the similarity to that disgusting can of pulque I had a few years ago. This is far from disgusting, but perhaps a little sweet for a session beer. jaymobrown (1360), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 6, 2008 I’d say that the agave is mostly in name only. I had a mix six pack that I had randomly and I didn’t even note any other tastes except the wheat, yeast, malt, etc. Overall, it wasn’t that bad. Very clean. Light notes of citrus with some grain flavors.
