Commercial Description:
This true American-style unfiltered wheat has something a little special – the nectar of the great Salmiana Agave. Agave complements the refreshingly light quality of our wheat and adds a subtle note of flavor that expands this beer’s uplifting taste profile. It is familiar, yet creative.

bottle in mixed Breckenridge 12-pack. Surprising and interesting choice to see agave used with beer. Agave is the primary ingredient in Tequila. The beer pours golden with bright thin white head. Aroma has plenty of wheat and refreshing agave juice. I got to try agave extracts a while back and the taste was well alive in the aroma. Taste of wheat with sugary palate from the use of agave. Agave gives the beer a very interesting twist and approach. Light bitter finish with an almost mead/honey like finish.

Good, but different. You can definitely tell that there is something different going on. A little zing at the end, but not so much that it ruins what is otherwise a decent beer. A nice alternative.

Cloudy orange, thin head. Hint of citrus aroma, with a touch of agave mixed in. There is a bit more agave character in the flavor. Interesting. beer.

What to say? Hazy golden body. Aroma and flavor of sweet lime and honey, filmy and oily texture, a little overdone but overall it’s smooth. chewy wheat throughout, medium to full body, almost chunky feeling at times. fresh, interesting, flavorful, maybe a little artificial, but it’s decent enough. Short rating, but there’s not much else to say. Wheat ale rating #100.

A good looking wheat beer. Opaque orange with lots of yeast and protein. Slightly acidic aroma, with yeast and wheat. Surprisingly sour flavor, with wheat and some bubblegum, more yeast, and definitely a vegetable character that I will call agave. It drinks pretty good, and is best very cold.

A vigorous pour produces a fat-three-finger thick pale tan colored head. As I pour this brew I get quite a fruity aromatic note that is a mix of bananas and pears. The beer is a murky, hazy, pale amber color, but shows a fully hazed, orangish straw color if held up to the light. Aromas of sweet grain, crushed wheat, white bread, lightly tart lemons and a finish of crushed soda crackers are the most noticed part of the nose when I specifically inspect it. Interestingly the up front fruitiness is only really noticed if you are almost not trying to smell the nose; it is there but can be fleeting and shy if you are looking for it.

More thick bodied than I expected, but it is still only has a light-medium heft to it. The beer definitely tastes more than just a simple Wheat Ale; a soft green, though slightly tropical fruitiness, perhaps a faint vegetal note towards the finish as well as a agave sweetness that I was not expecting to be as noticeable as it is. The agave character is not anywhere near overwhelming though and melds in quite well with the soft wheat beer flavors. Other flavors of tart wheat, soda crackers, dusty malt, sweet grain, perhaps a touch of herbal hop bitterness.

Not a bad beer, for some reason I was expecting it to be a bit blander than it is. It has some nice, though soft, agave flavors that pair well with the standard notes from a clean American Wheat beer.

Bottled. Beer is cloudy medium warm yellow The head is small, white, frothy; quickly and mostly diminishing but lasting.
The aroma is malty with a light notes of toasted grain/wheat bread and cookie; Hoppy with moderate notes of lemon zest, light notes of herbal pine; Yeasty with a light note of dough; Trace note (could be suggested) of agave juice.
The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic/juicy dry, lightly bitter with a long, moderately bitter, lightly sweet finish. Some residual squeaky vegetation in the aftertaste.
The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively.
