JMerritt (1110), Macomb, Illinois, USA Mar 29, 2008 Really hazy light orange in color. Head is bright white and totally diminishing. Aroma of light lemon, biscuity malts and a bit of orange zest. Mildly sour flavor with a soft malt sweetness. Finish is heavy in the sour, wet grains department. Interesting with the agave nectar, but the end result is simply an average wheat.
hogan873 (198), Joliet, Illinois, USA Oct 10, 2008 Pale amber, semi-cloudy body with a thin white head. Very light aroma, but I can sense some yeast and sour fruit. Somewhat thin palate with good carbonation. Decent flavor. Malt, yeast, and sweet fruit up front (agave, I presume). Sour fruit at the end. Clean finish. A fair wheat beer. zombywoof (308), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Oct 8, 2008 Pours a pale amber color with a dissapating head. Minimal lacing. Aroma of cereal and yeast and a subtle sharp tang of orange. Tastes like a typical wheat with fruit notes that fall between cantalope and apricot-I assume that’s the agave. Hints of honey. Finishes dry and sour and seems a little light bodied. It’s Ok but not something I’ll make a habit of. Sandman2222 (40), Florida, USA Oct 4, 2008 I tried this for something different. It was not much more than a normal wheat beer. The brew had a little sweeter taste than most wheats, but it wasn’t too special. troyc (976), Lubbock, Texas, USA Oct 2, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a cloudy yellow color with a decent white head. Aroma is of wheat malt and biscuit. Not detecting much agave in the nose. Taste is a little more potent. Sour notes and light citrus hit your tongue first. Some grass and grain in the finish. In some ways it reminded me of a Berliner Weisse because of the sour wheat character of the beer. I just wish there were more robust wheat notes in here. Still a unique and somewhat refreshing brew. IrishBoy (2163), Bakersfield, California, USA Sep 28, 2008 12 oz bottle from Supermaket Liquors, Cheyenne, WY; Nose of guava fruits, flowery hops, and wheaty grain; cloudy yellow-gold with a big, glass-lacing, off-white head; flavor is wheaty, with light agave in the background along with very mild hop bitterness; finish is lightly bitter. Good different wheat.
