12oz bottle. Pours a brown body with a finger-width, light brown head that dissipates semi-quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet and nutty with a lightly spiced caramel and a hint of fruit. Juuust a touch of chocolate as well. Flavor is nutty with a mild caramel. A light mixture of chocolate, earthy bitterness, and a hint of fruit. Finishes smooth and nutty-chocolate-fruity with a semi-dry, medium duration aftertaste. Medium bodied and somewhat crisp. Overall, a decent beer all-around. Nothing exceptional, but above average.

Bottle. Poured a ruby red color with a two finger white head. Left some lacing on the side of the glass as it went. Aroma was malts and caramel. Flavor was sweeter with caramel notes. Very crisp and fresh. A somewhat bitter aftertaste.

Bottled. Pours a dark cola colour with a little bubbly white foam on top. Aroma is dusty, dark chocolate malt and some roasted grains. Flavour is definitely roasted nuts but also some sweet creaminess as well. Short finish. Not bad at all.

A very nutty aroma for a very dark ruby red beer. Not a lot of head but the little that is retained sticks around the to bottlm of the glass, leaving just the faintest hints of head. The flavor is very roasty and malty sweet with plenty of nuttiness. But the hops certinally work on the back of the tongue giving this a good balance. There are some weird sourish fruity notes but they don’t get in the way too awful much.

12oz bottle (Binny’s Naperville)-Pours a dark amber with a small ring for a head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and a little nutty. Taste begins with malt and nut that continues throughout and on the back end a little chocolate and some very faint alcohol comes in. This medium bodied brew is pretty tasty and definitely a nice pre winter warmer.
