Bottle. Pours a clear dark mahogany with a half finger light tan head and minimal lacing. Nose is caramel, some light dark fruits and a touch of chocolate. Taste is malt, roasted nuts, toasted chocolate and a slight hop finish. Medium mouth feel. Wasn’t sure what to expect but not a bad beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a smallish tan head that quickly recedes to a thin film that leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is nutty malts with a little alcohol and some molasses.

The flavor is some sweet nutty malts and cola with a lightly bitter crisp finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, not terribly interesting, but an enjoyable brew.

This is my first Old Ale. Coffee, Dark Chocolate aroma. Very dark amber color. Virtually no head or lacing with quickly diminishing head. Acidic initial flavor with a mild bitter finish. Medium bodied and a average carbonation. A dryer texture than I expected. This is a solid beer and under rated.

Pours a dark brown into the glass with and orange red tinge. The head is small and off white. Aroma is roasted barley with a slight sweetness. The flavor of this beer is really nice with an overwhelming amount of roasted barley character. This beer finishes strong with the bitterness from the roasted malt staying on the tongue.

Pour is a dark amber hued brown, with a small tan layer of bubbles for a head. Aroma is sweet malts with some chocolate overtones. Body is surprisingly thin, the taste is overall true to the aroma. The beer is also highly carbonated, too bad. I have had better offerings from Breckenridge.

Pours a dark brown/amber with a respectable head. Aroma is a bit metallic/medicinal. Flavor is odd. Its balanced and chocolaty, but contains a pronounced soapy flavor. Palate is acceptable, slick with low carbonation. Overall a below average beer.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a off white head. Smells strongly of malt and resin. Taste is yeasty, with roast and a weird after taste
