The beer poured out hazy amber in color, and had a small, thin head. The smell was very mild, and predominantly that of sweet malts. The taste followed the smell as a mostly malty offering with a vague fruitiness and a floral hop presence. Somewhat watery and seltzer feel rounded out the experience. Instead of an avalanche, this was more like the snow sliding off the roof when you slammed the door too hard. BMan1113VR (2868), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 24, 2008 Moderate malts and light hops in the aroma with a bit of band-aid. Frothy, off-white head with a clear medium amber body. Malty taste up front with a salty sort of popcorn finish. Watery mouthfeel with lively carbonation. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 24, 2008 Amber brown with minimal head and lacing but good carbonation throughout. Hops and caramel on the low down, slight sweet and smooth. Seemed to taste better as it got warmer somewhat like a german ale. Not bad but middle of the road. wilkie (1191), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
