Commercial Description:
Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

Earthy malty aroma. Color is pleasing autumn leaf gold fading to tan. Slightly frothy head. Light sweetness, average bitter, no sour or off notes. Finishes with respectable bitterness. Overall a good ale for a hot day, say, on the links or sitting around with old friends.

Faint aroma of spicy hops and caramel, color is amber/orange with a large frothy head. Overall flavor is minimal which can be typical of the style. Minimal bitterness and sweetness but balanced nicely. Overall a good amber but due to most of its competition being much "bigger" this one loses points to most ratebeerians.

33 cl bottle, Fargo. Amber colour (surprise), slightly pale. Malty aroma, medium body, smooth caramel flavor. Decent but nothing exciting.

Unoffensive and unmemorable session beer. Would drink again if offered to me but with so many great beers out there I doubt I would go back to it on my own.

Nice amber color with minimal off white head. Balanced bitter vs sweet taste. Fairly refreshing.
