Commercial Description:
Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

I know people have beat up this beer. It is not that bad but yet there is nothing that makes me say it is a must have. Kind of right down the middle.

What an uninspiring beer this is. Amber in color with a light head. The aroma is of malt and grains. The taste is grainy with weak caramel malts. A thin palate adds to the issues this beer is suffering from.

An okay beer that was enjoyable while shooting pool. I do not think I would enjoy this at home out of the bottle but only from the tap at a pub with my buddies. Enough flavor to make me happy if there is no Double Bastard to be found.

Bottle in Denver. The caramel malts were apprent in the color and the taste. A good beer to try but not a classic.

Pours a clear copper with a small, but creamy head. The aroma is a biscuit toast malt with a gracing of citrus hops. The flavor is a little on the thin side, but has a bit of Bischoff cookie and a very light tingling bitterness in the back.

Nice caramel color. High white head that dissipates quickly. Not much aroma. Mildly sweet and malty. Moderate carbonation. A little light on flavor, but very drinkable.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium amber color wtih an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of grain and caramel. Tastes of grain with light caramel. Thin body and overall a boring beer.
