Commercial Description:
Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

Bottled. I love the town but not the brewery. A bit insipid but ok, just. Lemon flavours. Quite malty. Not something i would immediately buy a sixer of unfortunately.

Not a bad beer... pretty typical for the style really. Sweet malty and a little yeasty. A little hard to describe the color... kind of a sandy brown light copper color I guess.

Light body, cola coloring. Head is average. Small tones of berries and grain in the aroma. The taste is poorly balanced.

Bottle. Kinda of a nasty-funky aroma on top, lesser notes of grain and berries, caramel. Amber body with ephemeral beige head. Light toastmalt and caramel taste, distant berries, earthy and kind of dirty. Very slightly vegetal. Thin and watery body, dry finish. Bland and boring.

Light body, ok hues. Smells off as it’s taste is inconsistent. Watery. Cheap microbrew. Nothing special to say here, other than "I’d drink it over a fat tire."

The light body looks like a watered down coke. Light brown head thet is about three fingers high. Smells of light hopps and the taste is the same. Carbonation is slightly high and over powering. Open bar dude!

Amber with an off white head. Very nice lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted malt. Flavor is more of the same followed by a light, crisp hop finish. Watery body. Not nearly what I remember from years ago.

Draught at Old Chicago in Coralville, IA. Clear copper color with two fingers of off white head that laced the glass. Aroma was of malty caramel and a touch of butter. Flavor was similar with the addition of malty cereal grain and subdued grape. Crisp and dry on the tongue.
