Commercial Description:
Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

Pours cloudy orange amber with off-white head that fades quickly. Aroma of citrus, grains and caramel malt. Flavor is very thin and watery with a light sweet citrus spritz. Crisp finish, but not much else.

Pour is a brown with a small white head. Aroma is caramel malts but nothing else really shows up. Flavor is total blandness. Wet paper bag lager is how i would describe it. Lack of all things beer like make this one to forget.

Clear orange color with a minimal white head. Aroma is lagerish and boreing. Flavor is extremely watery and bland with some caramel and something else that I cannot figure out. Nope this stuff is not good at all. Luckily this is the last beer I have from this brewery.

Looks nice enough. Crisp looking slightly reddish amber with a half inch off-white head. Aromas are weak: maybe slightly septic with hops and mild, mild fruit in the background. A little chewy mouthfeel, but there is little behind it. I don’t know that I’ve tried too many beers that have a gritty feel that then seem so weak in terms of taste. There is a grainy/yeasty character to the palate with a little sweet caramel, but any type of complexity is impossible for me to find. Not offensive, not something I’ll return to. Completely mediocre.

poured cloudy but looked like an amber. Tasted watery and lacked flavor and aroma. Tasted almost like a cheap colorado brand. Not a memorable beer

Pours hazy amber with a small pale yellow head. Just a small hint of fruit in the aroma, but not much else. Flavor is OK, but really nothing special. Nothing offensive, but nothing stands out either.

It looked like a regular amber. Smelled like a fairly weak amber. And then it had almost no flavor and no body whatsoever. Watery and bland. Like bud or something like that, but an amber equivalent.
