| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 26, 2006 Updated: Mar 6, 200612 oz bottle. As the previous rater wrote, it’s not very amber for an amber, more muddy light brown. Decent lasting head. Aroma objectionable if not downright offensive -- hard to describe, but something’s not right. Maybe I got a bad bottle. Flavor is kind of bready, but there’s not much there. Watery. I would say drinkable but the aroma was off-putting to me. Overall pretty boring. Won’t buy this again. KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 20, 2006 12oz Bottle: Pours a remarkable un-amber color for an amber ale. Its more of a golden-brown color. There is a think whispy head that quickly dissapates. Aromas of citrus, grass, lemon, pine, sweet malts, rice, sugar, bisuity, and maybe a touch of hops. The flavor isn’t a comlex one, but there is a definite begining, middle, and end if you ask me. It begins sweet and malty moving onto a very quick hop flavor finishing with fry earthy flavors. I really enjoy the flavors, just subtlety like they describe. I really liked it, although not a great representation of a typical amber ale. This is the first corporate description that I actually agree pretty much whole heartedly with. Juelze (918), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 1, 2006 Pours a amber color with cappucino like off-white head. Aroma is sweet malt and roasted grain, also smells a bit of adjunct. Taste is sweet malt, toasted grain, and caramel. No real hop balance. Also had a peculiar metallic taste throughout. Has a bit of a sour finish. Mediocre. Probiere (992), Iowa, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 31, 2006 Clean and biscuity with some faint woddy-hop undertones. Some hints of molasses. Still, a tad grainy at the swallow. Not bad. An easy quaffer. PGA324 (85), Savage, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 29, 2006 Poured from bottle, average head, clear body, with noticeable cascading bubbles. Aromas of hops, grass, and citrus. Hoppy taste with bitter ending, avergage in duration. I thoughtit needed more balance. Flavor seemed to worsen by the time I was finished. Expect more from a micro brew. Sincere (145), wichita, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 20, 2006 Poured good ivory colored head. The body was amber and light on the palate. It smells slightly sour, but the taste is remarkably smooth. Very highly carbonated. A good Breckenridge, but hasn’t dethroned my love of their Oatmeal Stout. hotstuff (3181), Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 19, 2006 Bottle. Off-white small head that quickly dissipated with poor lacing, carbonated, murky, and an amber hue. Malty, caramel, and mild hoppy nose. Flavor was sweet, malty, caramel, and lightly hoppy. Tingly, dry mouthfeel. Light-medium body. Nothing special going on with this one. Just kind of so-so.
