Aromas were ligtht and sweet, caramel mostly. Flavor was a slightly watered down caramel and more bitterness than I expected from the hops. Fiinishes weak with hops and water. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 18, 2005 Medium head light color. Taste a little sweet with a bit of a bitter finish. It was a hot summer day and I drank a big bottle outside on the porch. It is a light brew so it is passable for that but not much more. haddon90 (1036), Alexandria, Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 12, 2005 Had this on draft at the Red Carpet Club at Denver International Airport. Clear copper color with a slim, very slim head. Faint aroma. Some malt, and a hint of caramel. Strong malt presence. Bit of sourness and bitterness as well. Overall, not too bad of a brew. Definitely worth trying though. DrnkMcDermott (1859), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA

U.S. Beer #12 of 31 for <a href=http://www.americanbeermonth.com>American Beer Month! A rather pale, frothy pour. This one has a bit of unwelcome sourness to it. With the glass full, it’s more yellow than amber. The taste is more like a weak SNPA. Re-rated from second bottle, 8/25/05. Well, I poured out a foamy glass, set the bottle down gently and watched it froth over. Same sourness. At least I can see it has a decent amber color, but way too many bubbles rising up the glass. There’s no notch in the "Bottled on: along the side, but perhaps it’s an old bottle. cAPSLOCK (154), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 6, 2005 Slightly soapy smelling. Hazy color, hazy taste, bitter sour palate. I remember having this on Tap and liking it. In the bottle it is not so good really... Likerighteous (120), Pflugerville, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 3, 2005 An average amber ale that works as a light-fare summer swill. Nice color. Modest head. Nothing too complex on the tongue. $4.99 for a longneck six is cool. Maybe a good introductory amber ale for the Bud people? intheric (20), Richmond, Virginia, USA
