Commercial Description:
Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

Has an almost skunky smell and poor taste. Overly carbonated and not much going for the palate.

The bottle poured a slightly cloudy copper-colored beverage covered with a modest white foamy head. The head retention was average but left no lacing on the glass. The aromas were straight forward, dominated by malt with notes of caramel. It had a medium body with a slightly creamy texture and lively carbonation. The flavor starts off slightly impressions of bittering hops mixed with caramel malt then settles down to a sweet, smooth malt middle and has a long slightly bitter finish.

Malty sweet and grainy aroma. Candy sweet, caramel and light toffee flavors. Some dusty hops at the finish. Cloying, sticky mouthfeel. I don’t care for this one to much. Skip it.

Clear orange-amber with a white head. Caramel malt aroma with a hint of orange. Sweet malt flavor with very minamal hops. Bitter finish.

Brown. Lightly hopped with a bitter taste, in fact this might be better classified as a bitter. Unremarkable but no noticeable flaws.

22 oz bomber. Pours amber with a small head that settled quickly. The aroma is caramel, grain and faint hops. Taste is more grains with some corn and dishrag hops. Totally sucked.

Pours light amber with a small head. Aroma is slightly malty, as is the taste, but little complexity. A thin beer.
