Unimpressive but not repulsive. A lot more malts and hops and Hey...you’ve got a better ale. BeerAteHer (384), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jan 28, 2005 Updated: Apr 14, 2005Not that this beer is offensive, but it’s not too impressive either. Lots of malt but nothing really stands out. I think my bottle may have been a leaker because it was down to the bottom of the neck and the carbonation was really low, and it looked downright drab.
UPDATE: Got a good bottle. Raises Appearance and Palate points a couple because carbonation is ok and appearance is about average with short head and filmy lacing to the bottom of the glass. I agree with other ratings that flavor is somewhat simple and a bit sour. Tejas (703), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jan 13, 2005 Well, this rating will actually be higher than it deserves. Only b/c this is a nice looking brew. Other than that it’s not very good. The aroma is offensive. Seriously, this one smells bad almost rotten like. I’ll finish the 6ixer but that’ll be it for me. crzybob77 (528), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 8, 2005 Not a whole lot here. Just a smooth and easy to drink beer with no particularly prominent flavors. I certainly wouldn’t complain drinkin one if givin to me, but not something I’m gonna seek out. Light bodied with sweet malt in aroma and flavor. Sort of at the bottom of the microbrew chain. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 4, 2005 Smooth initial flavor, but an odd fruity finish detracts from the overall flavor. Really pretty disappointing - most other Colorado microbreweries are much better. guzzler67 (1286), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 3, 2005 Slightly cloudy amber appearane with a small head and decent lacing. Malty, toffeeish aroma. Flowery, fruity, taste displays some sweetness. Not real hoppy. Medium-bodied with average carbonation and a short lived finish. antisnobJP (275), St. Michael, Minnesota, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 30, 2004 Bottle. Pale amber with very little and quickly fleeting head. Aroma reminds me of a slightly skunky cheap amber lager. Has some sweetness, but not a lot of malty flavor. Sourness in the finish. Tastes like I’m drinking it from a can. Watery with a lively carbonation level. Must use a very clean ale yeast, as there is no character there also. I had a Full Sail Amber the other day, and it’s amazing how far apart beers in this category can be. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA
