Balanced, yet boring with no high notes on either the hop end or malt end. Original 2.9 Bottle - Fox and Hound Pub in Austin, Tx. Medium copper appearance, off white head, decent lacing. Brief aroma of nuts and wort but settles quickly. Flavor has some piney notes with a bit of a nutty back end, but very subdued. Mouthfeel starts off strong but turns metallic near the end. Overall decent. JdoubleyouS (82), Erie, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 23, 2004 This is an amber I can get used to. Not the usual heavy bitterness; instead, a pseudo-sweet/bitter blend that is refreshing and invigorating. (Geez, does that sound dirty?) Try it. BeerandBlues2 (3225), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 7, 2004 Pours copper with a frothy white head, some lacing. Hoppy and piney aromas. Mildly bitter flavor with citrus notes. Medium and refreshing palate. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2004 Appearance: perfect amber color, short white head.
Aroma: rich and malty, with herbal/vegetal notes and coppery tinges.
Taste: neat little hop appearance at the fore, with a lingering finish. Body is light to medium, but this ale possesses sufficient character and proves to be consistently flavorful. A nicely downable session brew, an adequate amber.

This is a great tasting beer to go great with a nice frosted glass to enhance the flavor. I enjoy this beer anytime of the day or week and recommend it to those in need of a good tasting brew.
