Commercial Description:
Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

Overall Impression: I like this brew, its a nice easy drink, refreshing one. Not something that will blow you away, but it works well for what it is trying to be.

Medium clean copper with a small head. Aroma is light malts, grains, and metallic hops. Flavor has metallic hints to it...it is what it is...

Crushed with Jakebra. Wow. One stinky, ass-turd of a beer. Borderline drain pour.

Not a lot there, several flavors mixed together, but none of them strong enough to really stand out, despite that a pleasing beer that you won’t really remember tomorrow morning.

Pours copper with a small off white head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt. Flavor is caramel malt with a tiny bit of smokiness and slightly bitter finish. Not that bad.

Tap. Moderate malt aroma of dark bread, light pine and dough for the hops and yeast, with a hint of brown sugar. Head is average size, frothy, off-white with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is sparkling clear dark copper. Flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic, moderately bitter and a bit sour. Palate is medium, watery, and has a fizzy carbonation. An easy drinking Amber, but the flavor could use a little improvement.

Bottle. Pours an amber body with a white head. Sweet caramel malts, lightly nutty with a hint of grain and fruit. Eh.
