Commercial Description:
Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

Smell and taste is that of wheat. taste is a bit of malts to offset the wheat taste. Not my style but not bad for an amber ale.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a one finger cream head. The nose is light malt and slightly sour grain. Taste is malt, light hops and some metal in the finish. Lighter mouth feel. Meh.
