Commercial Description:
Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

True to style amber, merely a calm standard brew. Wonderful amber~brown color with a thick lasting tan head and tons of hearty lacing. Nutty aroma with ample biscuit and grass scents. Malty feel, but it has a watery finish. Balanced, smooth, and drinkable. Creamy malts, toffee, bread and nut flavors. Green, subtle hop taste. The flavor isn’t as pronounced as the aroma would indicate, overall a good amber that hit the spot.

Not to bad nice honey brown color when poured with a caramel white head. Odd but good taste I agree with my fellow judges it really dose remind you of an irish red.Coffieish flavour not ot hoppy. Nice clean finish over all I like it

A good, solid, average beer. Not too strong, not too weak. I would buy it again, but I wouldn’t go to the work of trying to clone brew it myself.

Pours a deep amber, mostly clear... Odd beer, i dont really understand what they are going for... It has notes of being an american amber, and an irish red, but settles for neither, and leaves me preferring one or the other...

nice amber pour with a moderate white head and good lacing. aroma is very sweet with lots of caramel and has no hop aromas at all. very caramely flavor and sweet with a thin finsih. not terrible by any means but i wish it had more roasted flavors and a bit more hops.

12 oz bottle. Reddish amber pour with a weak head. Aromas were a little sweet and caramel with some cooked vegetable. Flavors were not much better. Some bitterness but more vegetable flavor. Harsh finish that I didn’t enjoy. meh...

A staple of the legions in CO that I could usually do without. Just an average amber that does nothing significant with the look, mouthfeel, or taste. I would expect better from a great town of Breck.
