buckyp (26), Rio Rancho, New Mexico, USA Jun 23, 2008 12 oz. bottle pour to pint shaker. Slightly hazy nutty brown color with small tan head that quickly dissipates. Light lacing. Not much to the aroma with just a touch of nutty sweetness. Flavor is mild and unoffensive (backhanded compliment). Not bad for a session beer but there are much better choices available.
SODAK14 (63), Rapid City, South Dakota, USA Nov 30, 2008 Nice tannish color, little to no head. A smooth beer wih a slight hop finish. Decent beer to try but not a true favorite. DuffMan (2129), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Nov 20, 2008 Bomber shared with Tyler Durder, tasted alongside Broken Rake. This came across as watery and uni-dimensional by comparison. Just mediocre. rederic (1507), montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 24, 2008 On tap at the Denver location, bright amber color, with an off-white head, bready dough, yeasty, toasted malt nose, with a hint of toffee, slight nutty, with a light caramelized aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp fruity, toasted malt character, with a mild flowery hop citrusy, hint of buttery nuttiness, leading towards a toasty, fruity, mild hop bittering finish. drjay44 (224), Colorado, USA Oct 18, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a thin head, some lacing, over an orangish clear body....nose of roasted sweetish malts, rather mild in intensity....tastes of mild malt sweetness, mild hops, really rather bland....mouth feel is very light, with foamy carbonation. This brewery does make some really beers and I wonder if this represents one of their early attempts. Tastes have changed. mwelsh13 (231), Maryland, USA Oct 7, 2008 22 oz bottle split between two pints poured medium brown with a small white head. Light caramel aroma. Thin body was slightly skunky/cabbage like. Maybe a bad bottle, I hope.
