Ehh! It was nothing fantastic. The aroma turned me off to begin with. It actually had some flavor though so I was optimistic. I could taste the hopps with a definite citrus blend. Very hard to distinguish the flavors but the big downer so to speak was the copper aftertaste which reminded me of sucking on a paper cut. I appreciate the beer for not being to weak but perhaps they were trying to accomplish too much.

Bottle; pours a clear dark brown with a very minor white head that is gone almost immediately, no lacing. Aroma of molasses and a bit of spice. Taste is a bit bland and carbonated with mostly a light malt palate. Fairly thin and lifeless. Not recommended.

After the few wretched beers I just had, this actually seems good - might not under normal circumstances. Pours dark bronze with a frothy light tan head. The aroma has cinnamon and spicy hops with a bit of underlying citrus and light woodiness. Medium body with lots of prickly carbonation. Flavors start with musty caramel / chocolate malt with some cinnamon. The finish has light spice and medicinal traits added. Adequate at best.

12oz bottle. 2006 edition. Filtered and a deep dark brown with ruby tints. Spotty off-white head. Spicy aromas. Cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Medium to full bodied. Sweet malts and a smooth body. Rich flavor. The malts hit then the spices. Good dose of spices. Sticky with chocolate and fruitcake undertones. Sweet, cloying and sticky. Nice Christmas brew. Thick malts and a good hop note.

Bottle. A brown color with a diminished light brown head. A touch of candy spices and ginger in a predominately nut and malt aroma. A nutty and malt flavor with a carboard like quality.
