Jan 22, 2009 Pours a dark brown with a tan head leaves a nice lacing... Sweet and a bit spicy aroma... Flavor is a bit non-descript with slightly roasted malts with a touch of spice in the finish... A bit bland and boring... Thinner finish than i would expect...

Jan 16, 2009 poured nice dark brown with a bit of mahogany of the sides, nice 2 finger head. Not too much smell to it, some hops in there. Much more flavor than smell. Decent brew mainly taste roasted malt, a little sweet, and the had has a pleasant bitter hop finish, but definitley not too bitter or i wouldn’t like it. I would get this again for sure, BUT there are too many other great winter brews that outshine this....but no doubt worthy.

Jan 12, 2009 very deep brown in color with a light tan creamy and thick head with very nice lacing. has a very roasted aroma with some nuttiness and spice. slightly sweet caramel flavor with some nuttiness. mild hops and a bit of oakiness end in a dry finish. mouthfeel is a a bit thin for this style.

Dec 31, 2008 12 oz bottle, 2008 edition. Clear chestnut brown with a thin beige head. Nose is nutty, a bit roasty, toffee. Caramel flavors, lightly bitter nuttiness, a tad roasty. Mildly bitter finish that somehow ends up a bit dry. Not too shabby.

Dec 28, 2008 Pours a brown dark malt color with a nice 2 finger tan head rising up . Easy to drink not the high alc slap of most Christmas brews. Nice malt balance and not over the top on anything . Not overly hopped or spiced just a nice balance. I am glad I got a 6pk very easy to sit down and drink 2-3 of these. Alc content is well hidden and undetectable . A little thin on the mouth feel but thats not a bad thing. Decent brew..

Dec 26, 2008 12.26.08. dimpled mug. malt and roasty to the nose. dark color, very thin off white head. mostly malt flavor, hint of nice. nothing too special. alcohol percentage is a plus, and the fact that i cannot get in florida is a bonus, but still nothing to write home about. all in all an average beer.
