| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 16, 2009 poured nice dark brown with a bit of mahogany of the sides, nice 2 finger head. Not too much smell to it, some hops in there. Much more flavor than smell. Decent brew mainly taste roasted malt, a little sweet, and the had has a pleasant bitter hop finish, but definitley not too bitter or i wouldn’t like it. I would get this again for sure, BUT there are too many other great winter brews that outshine this....but no doubt worthy. watson1977 (273), , Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Pours a brown dark malt color with a nice 2 finger tan head rising up . Easy to drink not the high alc slap of most Christmas brews. Nice malt balance and not over the top on anything . Not overly hopped or spiced just a nice balance. I am glad I got a 6pk very easy to sit down and drink 2-3 of these. Alc content is well hidden and undetectable . A little thin on the mouth feel but thats not a bad thing. Decent brew..
