scottmc (167), Lakewood, Colorado, USA Jul 23, 2007 Tap. Breckenridge Beer Festival. A great lager with a heavy body and malty aroma with a hint of some hops. BeerandBlues2 (2379), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Aug 14, 2006 Draught at 2006 Craft Lager Festival. Pours light yellow with a patchy white head. Aroma is sweet yeast (dough, sweat, earth), malt (cereal, grain) with notes of flowers and fruit at the end. Medium bitterness and acidity, sweaty yeast, dry straw malt, corn notes, tart hoppy finish. Light bodied and refreshing palate. blank (999), Washington, Washington DC, USA May 16, 2006 A very light better with almost no color. A weak, but pleasent aroma. A fruity flavor with just a very small amount of hops. Very smooth Ernest (4178), Boulder, Colorado, USA May 7, 2006 Draught.
Head is mostly diminishing.
Body is light yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs).
Flavor is moderately sweet.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Not too bad, actually, considering it’s just a simple lager. Needs more assertiveness or aromatic interest to score higher for me, but I did not have high expectations and yet found it easily drinkable.
