kyzr (1119), Belgrade, Montana, USA Feb 23, 2005 Thick hazy yellow with off-white head. Lite fruity nose. Very lite hop, touches of wheat flavor. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Nov 26, 2004 Like standing in a Kansas wheat field. A good example of a style I know and love. cornhusker01 (76), Omaha, Nebraska, USA May 3, 2004 This beer was a very ugly shade of yellow but its taste kind of compensated for it. It was a little acidic yet watery. krisbierjaeger (844), dolores, Colorado, USA Nov 2, 2002 another snoozer from the little brewery that won’t. dirty yellow, almost ochre, with light haze. tattered gauze head with all the delicate lace of a flack jacket. light honey-apple aroma. the "mountain wheat" doesn’t add much. maybe that explains the problem, though: maybe wheat doesn’t grow any better in the mountains than avocados do. light apple and wheat bread flavor, modest sweetness prevails because of particularly parsimonious hopping. more interesting than an ordinary lager, and it was remedial on a big thirst. some beers just gotta come down right in the middle, so it’s nicely drinkable without being remotely remarkable. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA Sep 25, 2002 Pours a clear deep gold, the head is average, white, the lace marginal. Nose has hints of wheat, front is somewhat sweet, the top light, the finish is lightly hopped, mildly acidic, a tad dry, a ’Weak/Watery’ concoction that gains little favor with me. Ranks #992 on my current 1000 beer list, with its other brothers/sisters from this brewery. erway (1002), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Jun 11, 2002 A very sub-par wheat. Not enough wheat or yeast and a very one-dimensional beer. Breckenridge seems more interested in maintaining a repor and image with the rich skiers than with making truly remarkable beer.
