Not sure where the oatmeal comes in but this is one of the nicer dark beers I have had. Real nice finish, no bitter taste like some darks have. djd07 (751), Houston, Texas, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 6, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a thick dark black with a big frothy tan head and has nice retention and good lacing. Aroma is sweet roasted malts and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is a touch of roasted malt in the front and a nice rich chocolateish flavor on the end. The mouthfeel is very nice, smooth and silky. This is not the top, tops of the league of stouts but it is a very nice introduction for someone not into stouts yet. We cant all start with a Yeti. bag (103), Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 28, 2008 Bottle, pretty ok. Black pour, tan head. Aroma is very roasted and toasty. Flavor is a bit drier than I prefer in stouts. Some notes of coffee and chocolate are present, but flavor is a bit over roasted to me. rcasta (489), El Salvador
