I do like the roasted maltyness and the dark chocolate bitterness. Not enough oatmeal presence here and the mouthfeel was slightly watery followed by a unplesent strange sour/tart finish. This beer really didn’t come together for me. Would I drink it again sure I will but only cause I bought a six pack and have five more. Not really impressed by this one. queenholly (7), , Indiana, USA does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 24, 2009 Bottle. Coffee and roasted malt aroma. Dark brown with a ruby tinge, and a small brown head. Coffee and roasted malt flavor with lingering hops. Slightly creamy, medium bodied with a touch of carbonation. A pleasant stout that I would drink again. MtStateBeer (82), Hurricane, West Virginia, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 22, 2009 Poured dark with a small head. Aroma is of the roasted grains, coffee and a bit of chocolate. Taste is a little bland but the aftertaste of coffee and chocolate is good. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side. Overall, its a decent, if under-powered, stout. As the beer warms, the flavor becomes a little more apparent. darn1207 (620), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
