More aroma then the average beer, treacle comes to mind.Pretty to look at - opaque coffee brown with a pale lacy head. Slightly bitter, coffee flavor, hint of roastyness. Flavor linger on the pallette, though not at length. Pleasant addition to the seesion beer group. StFun (534), Indiana, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 7, 2008 Pours a DARK black, with almost no head and no lacing. Light aroma of chocolate and fruit. Flavor is also on the light side, with some coffee, chocolate and oat. The mouth is soft and creamy, but a bit thin for a stout. Overall its drinkable, but not very interesting. Too bad, as the low alcohol content could make this a decent session beer if it was worth the time. ubamartian (155), Watertown, Wisconsin, USA

Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Flavor is much the same, with roast coffee, and a bit of a smooth oatmeal undertone giving it a creamy texture. The mouthfeel is decent, lighter for a stout, but not bad. Has a good bitter stout finish with a chocolate and roast flavor that is somewhat dry. Decent brew.

Just a hint of roastiness. Flavor is much better. Hints of smoke, roast and coffee notes. Has a thin mouthfeel. Can definitly taste the oatmeal. Somewhat dry finish. Decent.
