Commercial Description:
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

12 oz. bottle. Very nice, sweet smell of milk chocolate with hints of coffee and raspberries and a slight hops bitterness. A pronounced, overwhelming yeast aroma emerges as one continues to sip. Pours a near black color of moderate opacity with a bright orange hue and an ordinary amount of short lasting, dark tan head; nice lacing. The primary flavor is coffee bitterness, which is surprising given the sweet aroma. Simplistic but nice. Long, very bitter coffee aftertaste. Light body. Smooth, as one would expect from an oatmeal stout. The beer looks and smells better than it tastes, but it nonetheless is enjoyable.

On tap @ Brew Kettle: Dark brown to black with a dark tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, some chocolate, and oats. Flavor, chocolate, coffee, and oats. Medium bodied, some bitterness. Solid.

Pours a nice dark brown with a thin carmel head. A little mocha in the aroma but definantly not what I expected. Flavor is the same. Finishes strong with a bitter lingering aftertaste.

Pours a dark black color with a small, tan head. A little chocolate noticable in the aroma, along with some roasted malts. Slightly roasted coffee flavor and a sweet malt presence. Medium body, not a bad offering from Breckenridge.

Bottle... Pitch black pour with a large, rocky, beige head. Excellent retention. The nose is of hot cocoa, milk chocolate, light cinnamon and vanilla. Oxidized flavor. Perfect balance, but lots of cardboard and cocoa powder. Light to medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and subtle carbonation. Lengthy, bland, lightly bitter finish.

Pours black with a little brown head. The nose is a little malty and sweet. The palate is smooth, but a little too carbonated. Tastes malty and chocolatey, a little coffee. "Good flavor," - Brad.

Dark brown to black color. The aroma is light, coffeish. Medium body, with a flavor based on carmel and roasted malt, but quite well mixed. Pleasant Stout.

Looks pretty good. Taste is okay, but is actually a little bit sour. Not too thick or thin, just a little disappointing.
