Dec 25, 2006 Pours a russett brown masquerading as black with a khaki head with good retention. The aroma has rich cocoa and a bit of coffee. The flavor is full, although the body is a little on the thin side.

Dec 13, 2006 Dark black with big light brown fluffy head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee and roasted malts. Bitter for an oatmeal stout...almost like bitter coffee. Just kind of bland.

Nov 15, 2006 From a twelve ounce bottle purchased at "Liquor Direct" in Covington, Kentucky - This one pours a black liquid with a strong grainy, malty aroma and a tall, thick head of foam. Tastewise, it’s a bit (but just a bit) thin for me, but the chocolate-coffee-oatmeal malt taste is there, and is good!
