Pours a DARK black, with almost no head and no lacing. Light aroma of chocolate and fruit. Flavor is also on the light side, with some coffee, chocolate and oat. The mouth is soft and creamy, but a bit thin for a stout. Overall its drinkable, but not very interesting. Too bad, as the low alcohol content could make this a decent session beer if it was worth the time.

Nov 28, 2008 Bottle, pretty ok. Black pour, tan head. Aroma is very roasted and toasty. Flavor is a bit drier than I prefer in stouts. Some notes of coffee and chocolate are present, but flavor is a bit over roasted to me.

Nov 21, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark black with a one finger brown head that quickly dissipated. Aroma of roasted malt and oatmeal, with a hint of bitter chocolate. Flavor has a nice coffee taste at the beginning, but withers off into not much at the finish. Body is a little thin. Good beer but not much complexity to it.

Oct 29, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pour a deep, dark black with a light-brown head that diminishes quickly. Nice lacing. Aroma is sweet coffee and chocolate. Flavor is a dry, roasty coffee with a bitter, cocoa-like chocolaty undertone. The body is medium, almost creamy, with very light carbonation. Long, dry finish.
