Jan 16, 2009 Bottle. Poured a one-finger head, very light gold. I can’t get over the smell. Putrid and sour...leachate? Appearance is nice. Clear, red. Flavor is sour, matching smell. Low carbonation. Disappointing, as it was highly recommended by a friend I consider a reliable source. I guess I know who to give the remaining five.

Jan 13, 2009 Malty caramel, slight molasses. Reddish brown color, medium head. Deep sweetness, caramel, raisins, and a nice bitter balance. Good carbonation, medium mouth feel, malty, but cleanish finish. Very solid beer, deep flavors and satisfying.

Jan 5, 2009 Pours a copper color with a tan head. Aroma is of toasted and caramel malts, dark fruits, and brown sugar. Flavors are not as strong as I was hoping. Toasted and caramel malts dominate with a hint of brown sugar. Very little lingering flavor.

Dec 5, 2008 12 oz bottle. This is not my favorite Bock, but i have to say it was a good beer. There is a rich maltiness, with sweet brown sugar hints. The color was much lighter than I was expecting, but the flavors were all there. Overall I would say hats off to Breck.

Aroma of rich malt, fresh brownies, slight citrus leans toward the posibility of a pleasantly hoppy brew. strange sweet candy flavors, date sugar, some citrus. I’m sure this would be much better on tap. so far, not my favorite Bock. Thin body, although the flavor is a bit more full.

Jul 21, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark amber/gold color with a lacking white head. It looks a little lighter than I was expecting. Aroma falls short. I get subtle hints of caramel and a tinge on citrus but I had to look hard for them. Flavor is a little on the under noted side. This could be a bit more upfront. There are hints of caramel and maybe fruit at the end. Kinda weird It is very easy to drink, just not very "full" flavored. Not bad, just not great.

Jul 4, 2008 A subpar dunkler bock. Aroma was so so. Fruit, caramel malt and iced tea. Pour was a nice dark gold with a 2 finger off white head. Taste was disappointing. Strong sugar and caramel that feels like it’s leaving behind a film in your mouth. Not much carbonation and a sweet syrupy aftertaste. Blah.
