Commercial Description:
Desire coupled with curiosity can drive you to do many foolish things. Fortunately, opening a bottle of our Pandora’s Bock is not one of them. Once it is released, a wealth of flavor and complexity will spill out into the world. With a traditional bock flavor profile and a hint of hoppy goodness, there’s a reason it’s spoken about in mythical terms.

Bottle courtesy of natedoggkc. Thanks for the bottle, Nate. Pours a clear, dark reddish copper with a thin, fizzy, beige head that reduces rapidly to a mall island of tiny bubbles at the surface. The nose is of cocoa and caramel with a mildly vegetal note and light, earthy hops in the background. Light-bodied with fine, tongue scrubbing carbonation and a quick, slightly astringent finish. The flavor follows the nose with a lightly roasty, cocoa and earthy hopped finish. It’s a decent brew, but if you’re looking for a solid example of the style, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

This is really a good-looking beer; it is too bad the beer doesn’t deliver on that good start with a pleasant drinking experience. I got a lot of mercaptan out of this beer, which tastes like compost or rotting vegetables, and that’s not what I’m looking for in a beer. Appearance was a rich red brass color with nice head. The appearance had me primed for a good beer experience, which was sadly not to be. Aroma was a bit sour with lots of mercaptan, which I find a bit revolting. I also got some caramel malt and diacetyl in the aroma. Flavor was distinctly metallic, although I really found it difficult to get over that rotting vegetable smell. Mouthfeel was a bit thin. I was not impressed by this beer, and I would recommend you choose something else. I bought this bottle at 3 Cellars in Franklin, WI.

12oz. brown bottle served in a pilsner glass. Poured a clear dark gold with a thin off white head. Nice maltiness in the aroma with a hint of noble hops. That’s about as good as it got. Flabby, caramel malt flavor, medium body. Some noble hop bitterness in the finish. Fairly drinkable. No defects, just another weak American attempt at a bock.

Pour: A maghogany color with a 2 finger head. Nose: Maltly, wheat, citrus. Taste: Malt character with hints of wheat and citrus. There tends to be a bit of hops on the finish but it is very null. Body: Medium Finish Slightly acidic, the beer is okay not great but okay.

Pours a bright rust color, with gentle but abundant carbonation bubbling up and a thin but creamy tan head. The beer is thicker, more creamy, and less fizzy than most other bocks that I have tasted.

Bottle. Muddled caramel and yeast aroma, lighter touches of grape Kool-Aid and cardboard. Heavy carbonation in a dark copper body, still clear but only barely, with a ringing, off-white head. Taste is far too sweet, with simple grainy malt and vague artificial fruitiness. Hard to choke down. Light body, grainy cardboard finish. Definitely panning this one.

Orange amber colors with an off white head. Bready malt aroma, maybe some carmel. Light body and mid to high carbonation. Acidic carmel flavor and malty sweet. Hops are so faint they are almost non existent. Finish is thin and watered down, dirty like.
