Commercial Description:
Desire coupled with curiosity can drive you to do many foolish things. Fortunately, opening a bottle of our Pandora’s Bock is not one of them. Once it is released, a wealth of flavor and complexity will spill out into the world. With a traditional bock flavor profile and a hint of hoppy goodness, there’s a reason it’s spoken about in mythical terms.

Pours redish brown with a small off white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with slight hops aroma. needs a bit more body.

Pours a clear brown red, with a tiny head. Nasty aroma..almost smells skunked, but certainly musty. Flavor is more of a Malt Liquor than a proper Bock, with none of the hoppy goodness that was mentioned in the commercial description. I guess there is some dark fruit in there, but nothing else can be distinguished. Palate is thin and watery.

Bottled. Beer is clear, medium-dark mahogany brown with a small, frothy/creamy, white, mostly diminishing that dwindles into a skim.
The aroma is malty with moderate notes of caramel, shortbread, light note of toasted bread; Hoppy with traces of lemon, pine; Yeasty with traces of sharp cheese, half-baked bread; Light miscellaneous notes of honey, peach, muted tropical fruit.
The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter with a long, moderately bitter, lightly sweet and acidic finish. Lingering grippy tingle.
The body is medium, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively.
Would like her leaner and cleaner.

Bottled: Muddled orangy brown hue minimal head or lace. The aroma has notes of carmelized and bready malts, honeycomb, currant, ripen apple, allspice, vanilla, and earthy yeast esters. The taste starts sweet and caramel covered apple overtone. Not much in bittters or depth here. A touch of that flat cola taste which is a turn off. Some spicy undertones on the finish. The feel is smooth and a bit boring, a bit metallic on the end. Straight forward simple beer that is below average even when compared to most american made bocks.

ok, ill admit. i picked this up as part of a mixed sixer due to the sweet ass name and cool bottle label. plus i figured i might as well throw a lager in the sixer to balance out all of the ales already there. this was better than i expected. definate carmel and some molases. this was good and i am definately saving the bottle.

Hazy red-brown body with minimal beige head. Aroma is very sweet, molasses, caramel, slight metallic. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, butterscotch, molasses, some cola, light alcohol. Full body, fairly sticky.

Hazy copper with a small light tan head. Sweet caramel and molasses, quite sweet. Flavor is similar but has some odd metallic components that do not jive with all of that sweetness. Stick medium body. Harsh finish. Not so great.

12oz bottle-thanks to JPDISPO for this suprise (I wasnt expecting much). Pours a deep copper/amber hue with 1/2 inch tan head. Very nice sweet, malty, sugary aroma with a noble hop bite. flavros are sugary, notes of grape, cherries, noble hops, caramel malts. I think this was a good example of a bock. my only problem with this one was the start of the flavors. It had a metalic start, but other than that, it was damn good.
