Dark reddish brown, slight head, smells beery. the first taste was actually akin to vomit but it quickly subsided into a more malty, lagerish flavor. Not sure what was going on there. Easy to drink but kind of thin, I’d prefer something German any day of the week.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2009 Bottle from Papago. One of the finer beer names I can think of. Pours a rich amber color with a trim beige head. Smells of vanilla yogurt and faint hops. Tastes of each with additional notes of tart raspberries and caramel. Interesting flavor that I would definitely revisit. Seems underrated. Headbanger (1583), Aurora, Illinois, USA

Aroma of malt, caramel, and sweetness. Taste of the same with a bit of sourness and hops in the middle. This medium bodied brew is not bad nor good and I think I was expecting more from Breckenridge. Overall it is malty and sweet with something sour and I’m not quite enjoying in the middle. I’m not sure how to completely describe it, but it seems to be a cross between acetaldehyde (green apple) and burn malt. Overall this is a decent beer, but probably not one I will return to in the future.
12 fl. oz. bottle from Tmoney99. Thanks Tom! Rating #105 for this beer.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Color is a bright amber with very good carbonation and a thin head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Taste is smooth and malty. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a smooth feel. Finish comes in with a sweet lightly roasted malt flavor then a touch of hop citrus and only a faint bitterness. After taste has a slight sour twang as the malt sweetness fades. Overall its a nice easy drinking brew, with mild but good flavors, I just wish it was a little bolder beerguy101 (3878), Newark, California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 22, 2009 Sampled on 4/21/2009. This dunkel bock pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized beige foamy head, with decent retention. The aroma is caramel, bready and sweet. A light to medium bodied dunkel bock. The malts are bready and sweet. The hops are floral and earthy. A touch thin and a little under-carbonated. A little bland. This beer needs to be way maltier. Hides the alcohol well. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. The finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
