| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 17, 2009 Pours medium amber with contrasting white head. Nose is on the "sweet" side with honey and bready malt. On the palate the malt is noticeable right away, but this is a lighter bock than most and the lighter bodied malt component fades into the honeyed finish. Alcohol is noticed on the finish also. Clean and refreshing. Good for those who like a lighter bock. I’d recommend this as a gateway beer to German style bocks.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 16, 2009 Dark amber color. Sweet carmel aroma and taste. Little hop bitterness. Not a style that I enjoy. Birdiebeagle (783), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 15, 2009 Bottle Pours a reddish brown with a diminishing tan head. The head laces fairly well. Has a good aroma of seet fruits and light hops. Has a light carbination. Has a watery texture. Not the greatest mouthfeel. Flavor is very mellow. Light bodied. Blend is okay, doesn’t seem as heavy ABV as it is. The finish is lacking. It is not a very complex beer. GranvilleTim (477), Granville, Illinois, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 15, 2009 Reddish-brown pour with a light tan head. Slight hint of malt aroma. Tastes semi-sweet and a bit bitter at the end. I am glad I only bought one. BOLTZ7555 (1080), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 15, 2009 This one is just boring!!! Chestnut pour with a reddish hue and small tan head that left average lacing. Caramel, toffee, and malt...no depth at all. Medium mouthfeel with decent carbonation. Highly drinkable and invisible ABV. sethdude (601), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 14, 2009 After sampling 4 extremely average beers back to back, this is a pleasant change. The contrast is probably affecting my rating, but here goes: Pours red with a medium head. Aroma is sweet, molasses, toast, and faint apple skins. Flavor is nice, typical bock toasted flavor, caramel, spots of nuttiness, yeast rolls, slight burlap, hop pepper, and mild tobacco in the finish. Underrated, I think.
